Basketball star Deron Williams is about to list his spectaular New York City penthouse for $ 33.5 million, less than a month after he left the Brooklyn Nets to return to the Dallas Mavericks.

Williams spent just $ 15.8 million on the 35 North Moore St. pad in 2013 but invested many millions to transform it into the ultimate luxury home, even expanding into what was once the eighth-floor hallway, said listing broker Andrew Azoulay of Douglas Elliman.

“It was always an investment property for him,” the broker said.

The massive, 7,200-square-foot aerie has six bedrooms and comes with an additional 3,500 square feet of outdoor space.

Williams’ unhappy marriage with the Nets ended somewhat stunningly with a $ 25 million contract buyout earlier this month, which greased the wheels for a two-year deal with his hometown Dallas Mavericks for $ 10 million.
