Her film may be number one at the global box office, but Angelina Jolie has hinted she could be about to quit the big screen.

Speaking to the BBC about her plans to bring Cleopatra, the 37-year-old said the Egyptian queen may be her last role  – and she could quit at the top.

“She’s [Cleopatra] complicated. It’s complicated to get this one right. I think we’re getting there. It’s getting close. I imagine the preparation for it is going to be big,” she said.

“It’s one of those that you think maybe that’s the one you put everything into and that’s where you end it, that’s where you finish – in a great way. What could you do beyond that one?”

Activist Jolie has already claimed she would like to give up acting to concentrate more on her humanitarian and directing work.
