A Hungarian village dating back to the 11th century has been put up for rent at a cost of $ 750 a day.

The village includes four streets, a barn and even its own bus stop, reports the Independent.

Megyer comes complete with a population of 18 people, several animals including sheep and a chicken, and several guest houses.

It has been put on the market by the mayor and the rental even comes with the chance of being the temporary deputy mayor.

The mayor, Kristof Pajer, wants to raise funds so improvements can be made to the village, which is located some 120 miles from the Hungarian capital, Budapest.

“We can offer all sorts of programs to our guests, but most are simply captivated by the surroundings and the quiet,” said Pajer.

“Once they sit out in the meadow with a bottle of rose wine, nothing else matters.”

The temporary mayors will also be given the power to rename the village streets when they rent the hamlet, reports the Independent.

The rental even comes with the opportunity to be the town’s deputy mayor, with the power to rename the village streets during their stay.
